Assistant Coaches
Ray Nunn
Ray Nunn is in his third season as an assistant coach at Concordia. He was a part-time assistant coach at CU the past two seasons while continuing head coaching duties at Tualatin High School. Coach Nunn brings to Concordia his immense knowledge after years of coaching at collegiate, high school and club levels. A native of Southern California, Nunn has coached at Oregon State University, University of Portland, Loyola Marymount and Pacific. He’s also coached at several high schools in Oregon, Washington and California.
Erin Blythe
Erin Blythe is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers. Blythe was a four-year starter for the Cavaliers, and was named the co-conference and region Libero of the Year in 2005. Blythe was named CCC Libero of the Week on two occasions during her senior campaign. She holds the school’s game, season and career records for digs. Blythe graduated with a degree in international business at Concordia in May of 2007.
Melanie Hambelton
Malanie Hambelton enters her first season with Concordia after a stellar career at Estacada High School. In 19 seasons at the helm, Hamelton posted a 605-149 record while taking 16 teams to the state championships. She guided the Rangers to eight state title matches, including two state championships. As a player, Hambelton played one season at Arizona State before transferring to Portland State. She helped push the Vikings to the NCAA championship game in 1981, where PSU fell to the University of Texas.
