Personal: Played four seasons of softball and volleyball for Evergreen High School, collecting all-league awards in both sports. 2005: Started 40 games. Led the team with a .343 batting average. Also led the squad with 48 hits and 26 runs. Struckout only seven times in 140 at-bats. Stole 22 bases in 27 attempts for an 81 percent conversion rate.

Personal: Two-sport athlete for Concordia. Four-year starter as a point guard on the Concordia basketball team. Competed in soccer and softball as well as playing point guard for Prairie High School. games, to bat .480 during the streak. Committed only three errors while covering the hot corner for a .961 fielding percentage.
