PORTLAND, Ore. –
Jason Dormeyer of Concordia University has been voted the 2009-10 Cascade Collegiate Conference Mike Booth Sports Information Director of the Year, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Dormeyer was honored by his conference peers for outstanding contributions to his institution and the CCC during the past academic year. The annual CCC award is named for the late Mike Booth, a former long-time CCC sports information director.
A graduate of Minnesota State-Moorhead and former assistant at North Dakota State University, Dormeyer just completed his third year as Concordia’s sports information director. Dormeyer handles all publicity for the Cavs’ intercollegiate athletic program, which captured the 2009-10 CCC All-Sports Trophy and finished 13th nationally in the final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings.
Dormeyer promoted 34 student-athletes who earned All-America recognition this past year, including CCC Players of the Year in women’s cross country, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, women’s golf, softball, and men’s track and field. A member of the College Sports Information Directors of America organization, Dormeyer successfully nominated seven student-athletes towards CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as well as the school’s first ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® recipient.
He also served as the media coordinator for the 2009 NAIA Cross Country National Championships, which were co-hosted by Concordia and the CCC and held in November at Fort Vancouver. In addition, Dormeyer helped host an NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round game and the 2010 CCC Track & Field Championships held in Gresham, Ore.
Dormeyer was also instrumental in the redesign of the Cavalier website that was launched on Jan. 1, 2010.
