All-NAIA West Team
PORTLAND, Ore.—Senior first baseman
Andrew Reid was named to the NAIA West Region Gold Glove team, the league announced today.
Reid led all non-catchers in fielding percentage for the Cavaliers after committing just four errors in 248 chances last season. Reid also led the team with a .331 batting average while starting 39 of the team’s 44 games.
College of Idaho’s Diego Robles, a senior third baseman from Caldwell, Idaho, has been voted the Player of the Year while Terry McKaig of University of British Columbia, who led the Thunderbirds to division and tournament crowns, was voted the Coach of the Year.
The 17-person all-region team, as well as the nine players who earned Gold Glove honors, was voted on by the head coaches in the grouping.
