WILDER, Idaho—The defending conference champions continued to display their dominance as Concordia swept the top five individual spots to claim the College of Idaho Invitational team title on Tuesday.
With a 299 in the final round, Concordia (305-308-299—912) fired its lowest round of the tournament and second best of the season to win the team chase by more than 100 strokes. College of Idaho (340-334-343—1,016) finished in second place, Northwest Christian (354-359-340—1,053) in third and Corban (392-400-407—1,199) in fourth place.
Ranked No. 6 in the NAIA, Concordia will conclude its regular season at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships which will be held April 19-20 at Diamond Woods Golf Course in Monroe, Ore.
Madeline Jarrett (73-76-74—223) maintained the lead with a four-stroke victory over teammate
Lindsay Aho (77-76-74—227). Jarrett took the advantage in the opening round and did not relinquish the lead as the duo matched each other with identical scores in the final two rounds of play.
Holly Speer (79-77-74—230) moved up one spot to third place with a 2-over 74 on Tuesday, joining Jarrett and Aho as the third Cavalier to record a 74 on the day.
Kim Lindow (79-80-77—236) placed fourth and
Sara Taylor (76-79-83—238) fifth overall to complete the sweep.
With a 6-over 78 on Tuesday, NCU’s Ashley King (79-84-78—241) made up a single stroke to share sixth place with C of I’s Cecelia Garcia (83-79-79—241). Breanna Pace (86-85-85—256) and Jedi Murphy (85-86-88—249) took eighth and ninth place, respectively, to give the host Coyotes three players in the top 10.
Rachel Murphy (86-85-90—261) led Warner Pacific in an 11th-palce finish while Hailey Thomas paced Corban 89-99-89—277) in a tie for 15th.
