PORTLAND, Ore.— Concordia’s Sara Taylor, a sophomore from Vancouver, Wash., was recognized as the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week, the league office announced today. 

Taylor finished sixth overall at the Cal Baptist Invitational, a tournament featuring seven of the NAIA’s top 16 teams. Taylor carded rounds of 75-80 under less-than-ideal conditions to help the Cavaliers to a third-place finish and ahead of four nationally-ranked teams. 

In 11 rounds of play this season, Taylor holds a 78.5 strokes per round average and has placed inside the top six individuals in four of five events this year. 

Taylor is the fourth Cavalier golfer to earn the distinction this season.
